Community Leadership

Advena Living on Tenth celebrates the importance of ethics, compassion and commitment in the healthcare profession as we honor our nurses, volunteers and staff, who demonstrate such passion and dedication to our community members every day.

Our staff works side-by-side with families and physicians to ensure our community members are in the most appropriate care setting, customized for their needs and preferences. Our licensed professionals are available to answer questions and address any concerns you or your family may have.

We have a special relationship with the Veterans Administration of Northeast Kansas, and we welcome questions and discussions about our care for those who have served.

Justin Gunter, Director of Maintenance

[email protected]

With more than 22 years of experience in the maintenance field, I bring a diverse background that includes 15 years of aircraft maintenance, 7 years of building maintenance, and extensive structural maintenance experience—three of those years within healthcare settings.

My core strengths include teamwork, identifying building and equipment needs, and completing tasks efficiently and reliably. I take pride in the challenge of maintenance work and the responsibility that comes with leading a department. No two days are the same, and I enjoy planning, preventative maintenance, and ensuring our systems operate safely and smoothly.

What brings me the most fulfillment is knowing that the work I do contributes to a safe, dependable, and comfortable environment for the residents and staff at Advena Living on Tenth.

Outside of work, I value spending quality time with my children. We enjoy going to the park, time at the lake, fishing, and creating memories together. I’m also passionate about riding motorcycles and kayaking—activities that keep life adventurous and grounded.

I’m truly blessed to be part of the Advena team.
